I have decided to start a small series on ways that people with Autism and Aspergers can earn money at home as I realize sometiems the usual job market is very difficult. Every idea I put fourth is something I have actually attempted and made some very good money on.
People with autism and or Aspergers tend to be very analytical, and some have strenghts in research and using the computer. If this describes you, or someone you know with Autism or Aspergers that is currently struggling to find a job I think this is a great idea to earn money from home.
As of late I have been trying working as a contractor for this great new startup called ChaCha. As someone with Aspergers a form of Autism ChaCha allows me to work from home - and any interaction I need to have with my supervisors or co-workers is done through an online forum.
ChaCha guides have earned as much as $800 or more a month - which is something I doubt is obtainable for me due to getting distracted.
In order to work for ChaCha as a contractor you have to pass a test that shows you know how to search for facts on the internet, and can type a modest ammount in a certain time frame. You also must be a United States Citizen.
ChaCha offers two forms of payment - Monthly deposits into your checking account or a debit style card you can use at ATMs or some stores.
My personal experience with ChaCha is its a great way to earn some extra money on the side, however one must be able to free themselves from being distracted in order to obtain the best income possible - which is a large problem of mine.
If you are interested in working for ChaCha you must first fill out the registration form and it would not hurt if in the guide referal you put in the email zlassiter@thezach.net as it will help me earn some extra money too!
Good Luck!

Horaayy..there are 2 comment(s) for me so far ;)
This is a GREAT idea!! I have had a few businesses. I’m starting another one and going to employ only people with autism.
Hey, I found this site through the Adult Asperger’s group on Facebook.
I tried to go into self employment. But I could never get too many people interested in my work (promotional and live band photography). Those that did get interested changed their mind at the last minute.
I do quite like this site. I suspect I have Asperger’s Syndrome and I find it extremely difficult to get employment.
