So I have a temp job right now with a company that builds playgrounds for elementary schools - but I’m somewhat considered about the lack of safety that is exercised in the workplace. Some of these things are very clearly dangerous and I don’t know how to bring it up to the supervisor who encourages this unsafe practice. As many people know being autistic makes it difficult to talk to people about things that concern you so I’m thinking
So I’m thinking about how I should bring this up. Yesterday I was standing on the very top of a ladder - which is considered unsafe by far. The ladder started teetering and I was going to get down because I was hanging from a bar on the play set and he told me to stay up there as it won’t fall. How do I bring up to him that it is in fact unsafe without loosing my job over it?

If you’re like me, it would be easier to put it in writing in a formal letter. Loosing your life or at the very least becoming physicaly disabled is far worst than loosing this job. If your boss doesn’t get that than, you should not be working there in the first place. If he get’s someone to replace you, most likely that person will not have a difficult time speaking up and even filing a law suit. Either way, safety first. No job is worth that kind of risk. You can always deliver newspapers or something.
